At least in survival evolved you were able to change the tether length, only ever being teleported when host went into a cave. But now even if you change it, the distance will always be 180 meters.It's not gone, but you can increase the size of it so you can go much farther away from eachother or set it to a smaller setting for more restrictions. 3.
