Lost mucus plug after sweep.

The mucus plug is usually thick, like jelly, and sticky. Vaginal discharge is usually thinner and more slippery than sticky. If the mucus comes out all at once in a big clump, it's your mucus plug (though again, it can come out over the course of days). Vaginal discharge is usually ongoing. At both I've been more than 2cm dilated. I had some bleeding after the first sweep and lost my mucous plug. I haven't noticed anything following the second sweep. Apparently it can take up to 48hrs so I have my fingers crossed that it may still have worked. Only time will tell. I'll be interested in hearing from those where the sweep was effective.
